Mammography
Women’s Imaging provides screening and diagnostic mammography, including
core biopsy, wire localization, needle aspiration, and ultrasound. The
section performs over 8,800 exams each year. In April 2007, all new
digital mammography equipment was installed, providing the clearest diagnostic
views available.

Computer Aided Detection (CAD) is a tool used by Radiologists at St.
Edward Mercy. CAD provides a computer analysis of the mammogram
to improve the detection of breast cancer.
