St. Edward Mercy Pediatric Unit (4200)
St. Edward Mercy Medical Center offers comprehensive pediatric and family centered care treating nearly 400 pediatric patients during 2006.
Our Pediatric unit consists of eighteen newly decorated private rooms in a stand alone family oriented environment. We have pediatric specific equipment to meet each child’s needs. Developmentally appropriate play therapy is available for every child in the privacy of their own room. When the child’s condition improves we have available for their entertainment an assortment of video games and age appropriate movies.
Our board certified pediatricians deliver care in accordance with the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines. The pediatric nurses have an accumulative experience of 50 years in practice; maintaining certifications in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
A variety of pediatric services are available including orthopedics, surgical, and urology. We work in conjunction with Arkansas tertiary care centers when advanced pediatric care is required.
