Fort Smith Coalition for Tobacco Education and Prevention

Our Goals
  1. Reduce youth access to tobacco through retail sales outlets.
  2. Decrease exposure to secondhand smoke in Fort Smith.
  3. Increase Community awareness of the effects of tobacco advertisements on our youth resulting in changed perceptions and community norms regarding tobacco use in Fort Smith.
  4. Increase public awareness of, and access to, smoking cessation opportunities.
Our Mission

To improve the health of Arkansans by reducing the burden caused by tobacco. We will do this through prevention, education, and advocacy to reduce the health and economic tolls tobacco causes in our state.

Our Vision

We envision a healthier community for the Fort Smith area five years from now. This vision will be addressed through an organized community education campaign to address tobacco use in the area, in partnership with the local school system and business community.
