The Cardiovascular Short Stay Unit, opened in early 2007, provides specialized
care for post-procedure cardiac patients. This unit, designated
for patients requiring 48 hours or less of acute care, operates 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week. Patients are admitted to this unit by their
Cardiologist. The unit is staffed with Registered Nurses who have
at least two years of experience and ACLS certification. The nurse
to patient ratio is 1 to 4.
