The Hembree Mercy Cancer Center, named for H.L. and Janelle Hembree of Fort Smith, opened in 1994 at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center.

Since its inception, the center has been committed to utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and offering the highest quality care, making it the premier cancer treatment center in the River Valley. Today, there is a need to reaffirm its mission and invest in technology that will revolutionize treatment offered to the nearly 500 new patients seeking its assistance each year.
