Message from the CEO
To Our Patients:
Our goal at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center is to provide quality and safety to our patients and their families. We are committed to putting our patients first. To achieve this, we ask that you partner with us to improve our quality – and help promote safe practices.
We encourage our patients to ask questions and give us comments as we continue to provide VERY GOOD care, quality, and safety at St. Edward Mercy.
Examples of safe practices we have implemented include:
- The use of advanced technology to scan medications and patient arm bands to ensure that the right drug is administered to the right patient
- Verification of the surgical site and procedure to prevent wrong site surgery
- Promoting hand washing as a front-line defense to prevent the spread of infections
- Ensuring the safety of monitor alarms and intravenous pumps
You may forward any questions or comments to our Patient Safety Office by clicking here or by dialing our Patient Safety Hotline at 479-314-2525.
Thank you in advance for helping us improve our quality and safety.
Sincerely,
Jerry Stevenson
