Night to Remember Benefits St. Edward Mercy Hospice

Fort Smith, Ark. – January 23, 2009- The St. Edward Mercy Foundation will host the second Night to Remember, an event benefitting St. Edward Mercy Hospice, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, February 14 at Columbus Acres Hall.

The evening will feature a live auction, dance competition, and entertainment by the Don Bailey Jazz Combo. The live auction will consist of three trips: Carmel, Calif.; San Juan, Puerto Rice; and an all-inclusive trip to Antigua. All attendees are invited to watch the dance competition, which includes six physicians and their partners.

The event is black-tie optional with heavy hors d’oeuvres and cash bar. Tickets are $50/each or $75/couple. To purchase tickets, contact Sarah Wilson, special projects coordinator for the St. Edward Mercy Foundation, at 479-314-1133.

The first Night to Remember event was held in 2008 and raised almost $8000.

St. Edward Mercy offers both outpatient and inpatient hospice services. The 12-bed inpatient unit opened at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in July. The Hospice staff has been specially trained in hospice and palliative care with two physicians on staff.
