New Physician to Join St. Edward Mercy Clinic – Primary Care Associates
Fort Smith, Ark. –July 28, 2009 - Arkansas native Dr. Joshua Wilkinson joined St. Edward Mercy Clinic
– Primary Care Associates July 1. He specializes in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Dr. Wilkinson
will join current Primary Care Associates family practice physician Dr. Vikki Sutterfield and Dr. Sean
Baker at the Clinic.
Prior to relocating to Fort Smith, Dr. Wilkinson completed his residency at the University of Kentucky
Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. He attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for
Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Ark.
“As a specialist in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, I am dedicated to both adults and children,” said Dr.
Wilkinson. “I focus on preventive care with the goal of treating the whole person and the whole family.”
He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Physicians, and the
American Medical Association.
Dr. Wilkinson is married to wife Lindsey and has one daughter, Madelyn, age four. Dr. Wilkinson enjoys
hunting, fishing and cheering on the Hogs in his free time. Volunteer work is important to Dr. Wilkinson as
he has volunteered at his church in various capacities as well as giving time to Habitat for Humanity.

Mercy Clinic was founded by St. Edward Mercy Health System in 2008 to expand the base of available primary
care and selected specialty physicians in the River Valley.
Dr. Wilkinson is one of seven physicians hired in the month of July. He is the twelfth physician hired in the
past fiscal year. The Clinic currently operates three physician offices and employs over 70 physicians.
