St. Edward Mercy Unveils New Suite and Technology at Open House

March 8, 2007 – On Friday, March 9th, St. Edward Mercy Medical Center will unveil its new CT (computed tomography) suite and imaging capability at an open house for the community and Mercy co-workers. The drop-in event will be held on Friday, March 10th from 2:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. in the Centers of Excellence.

The CT suite is located in St. Edward Mercy’s Centers of Excellence. The suite is a newly remodeled area that has never been occupied within the Centers of Excellence. The Centers of Excellence were dedicated five years ago this year. St. Edward Mercy is proud to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Centers of Excellence by opening new areas and providing new services to River Valley residents. Earlier this year another new service was launched within the Centers of Excellence: a Cardiovascular Short Stay Unit. The new CT suite is just one more example of how we are working to improve the health of the community.”

The location of the CT suite within the Centers of Excellence is convenient for patients in need of outpatient procedures, but more importantly, its proximity to the emergency department allows physicians quick access in critical situations.

The design of the suite is an example of modern healthcare layout focusing on needs of the patient. Individual, private waiting areas, with flat screen televisions are available for patients waiting for their procedures.
