The St. Edward Mercy Heart Center: Caring for you heart and soul. Our goal at St. Edward Mercy Heart Center is to keep heart-care patients and their families close to home while providing state-of-the-art facilities, physicians and staff. Why travel when the best care is available right here in Fort Smith?
Seven years ago, St. Edward Mercy established the Centers of Excellence, which included a Heart Center. It has established itself as one of the leading Heart Centers in the country. We want to build upon that foundation of excellence and caring.
How do you build upon excellence?
Our goal is to create a Hybrid Endovascular Suite which will allow physicians to perform non-invasive endovascular procedures in conjunction with invasive procedures. We will establish a network of cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons. We will develop outreach programs, rapid access, same-day referral feedback and on-site, same-day diagnosis to 13 area critical-access hospitals.
We hope that you will help us in our endeavor to support and grow our Heart Center. Because at St. Edward Mercy we care for you heart and soul.
